Meeting up with eWeb in Chi-town

So the road trip began in Toledo, Ohio. Firstly, without my stupendous Auntie Lu Lu and Uncle Bill, this trip would not have been possible. That is because they lent eWeb and I their Toyota Forerunner to drive back to Cali. Thank you!

After leaving my Aunt and Uncle, I set out for a 4 hour drive to Chicago. This was the first time I ever had to pay to drive somewhere. What the F' is up with tolls. I just don't get in. In cali, we have FREEways. Not down with this toll BS.
Anyway, after paying
$13 to get to Chicago, I went to the Cubs-Dodgers game at Wrigley Field -- all by
myself (I'm so cool) -- because Evan couldn't go because he's u
ltra orthodox now, and this past saturday was not only Shabbat, but also Shavuot (Zman Masan Toraseinu -- Baruch Hashem).

Wrigley Field is incredible. The most beautiful baseball stadium I've been too by far. Haven't been to Fenway (Boston) yet, but hopefully will one day.

After my Dodgers (pronounced Doyers) got sloshed by the Cubs 7-0, I met up with Evan, who was staying with the coolest family ever -- the Israels -- for Shavuot and Shabbat. They fed me gloriously, had the cutest kids in the history of the Jewish people, and were overall, very lovely hosts and great company.

As of Saturday, we still did not have a route planned out at all for our t
rip. We took out all the maps I got from AAA, and they were of no help. How we figured out our trip was from Aleeza Israel's, 7, puzzle map of the United States. We used it as our guide with the whole Israel family to figure out our trip. And Evan was like, "I got a boy outside of Minneapolis," and that was that. We said, alright, lets do Minnesota. And hence the name "thankyoumarty" for our blog, as he welcomed us to his home for our first stop.

So we went to bed Saturday night with the plan of going to Minnesota. As you'll see in the next post, we made it -- yes, the car is still in tact and we're still alive.
